Analogous Color Palette
Analogous colours sit next to each other on the colour wheel, usually within a 30–60 degree arc. The result is soft, continuous and very close to what you see in nature — a sunset, a forest floor.

When to use analogous colours
When you want a calm, continuous mood: illustration, warm brand worlds, gradient backgrounds. It is also the right harmony for sequential data visualisation, where the order of the colours has to read intuitively.
The trap to avoid
Without a dominant hue an analogous palette falls flat. Pick one lead colour, one supporting colour, and keep the third for accents. If contrast is missing, push the lightness at either end rather than dropping in a foreign hue.
