LFColors started from a simple need: quickly building harmonious color palettes for web and design projects. Whether you're a developer, a designer, or just curious about color, the generator helps you explore combinations that work — without the fuss.
LFColors keeps the interface simple, with practical options for real work: color locking, export in multiple formats (CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, Bootstrap), palette saving, and shareable URLs. Each palette can hold from 2 to 10 colors, depending on your project. Once generated, open your color palette to fine-tune and export it.
The idea came while shipping web projects where finding a coherent palette always took too long. LFColors keeps familiar principles, stays free and simple, and offers several algorithms (monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic...) for different creative needs.
"Auto" mode builds balanced palettes by looking at how hues, saturations, and lightness relate. Great for a quick first pass, a prototype, or exploring ideas.
Each harmony has its own page, with an example and the cases where it works best: monochromatic color palette, analogous color palette, complementary color palette, triadic color palette. You can also browse all color harmonies.
Because everyday creative tools should stay accessible. LFColors is part of the Ludovic Frank ecosystem, alongside free tools like LFQR (QR code generator), LFNY (URL shortener), LFMDP (password generator), LFSocial (social media image creator), and LFMaps (free map integration).
Using LFColors is a quick look at how we build for the web: simple, useful, and user-focused. If you need custom web solutions or consulting, you know where to find us.
